12. Backups and Restoration

OBS profile

In OBS, select Profile → Export, choose the approved backup folder, and complete the export.

OBS scene collection

Select Scene Collection → Export, choose the approved folder, and save. Replace an older backup only when that is the intended policy.

Restore OBS

1. Select Profile → Import and restore the required backup.
2. Select Scene Collection → Check for Missing Files.
3. Locate or replace missing media.

Lower-thirds data

An OBS profile or scene collection may not contain the lower-thirds module data.

The original export procedure opens the lower-thirds Main Settings, expands settings, opens System, selects Export, copies the data, and saves it in the approved folder. Import follows the same path using Import.

Verification required

Retest both lower-thirds procedures before treating them as final.
