Scenes and Safe Practice¶
Scenes can recall a large collection of console settings. Loading a scene can therefore change faders, mutes, routing, processing, and other stored parameters.
Unity Start¶
Unity Start is a known-good starting scene used for Sunday operation.
During recent testing, loading Unity Start visibly changed console faders and mute states to the values stored in that scene.
Do not experiment in Unity Start
Do not casually modify and overwrite a known-good Sunday scene while learning the console.
Corys Sandbox — Scene 50¶
On August 10, 2026, a dedicated training scene was saved in slot 50 and named:
Corys Sandbox
It is intentionally separated from the normal Sunday scenes.
Use it for:
- Learning controls
- Testing safe routing ideas
- Practicing scene save/load behavior
- Exploring channel processing
- Hands-on lessons where changes should not affect the production starting scenes
Safe experiment pattern¶
- Load the approved known-good state.
- Save or load Corys Sandbox.
- Confirm the scene name before experimenting.
- Make one change at a time.
- Observe what changed.
- Do not overwrite Unity Start or another production scene.
- When finished, leave a clear stopping point.
Scene date/name fields¶
Scene number, scene name, and note/date fields are separate pieces of scene metadata. Verify which field is selected before editing text.
