DN32-LIVE recording card

The M32 LIVE includes the DN32-LIVE SD/USB recording interface.

Recent tests confirmed access to the card screen and SD-card recording functions.

Observed available recording time on two cards was approximately:

  • Card example 1: 1 hour 26 minutes
  • Card example 2: 1 hour 45 minutes

These figures are observations from the cards at that time, not fixed capacities.

Front USB playback

Recent event preparation used the M32's front USB playback.

A collection of source files was converted to WAV for M32 use.

Practical lessons from testing

  • Confirm file format before the event.
  • Start playback at a conservative level.
  • One test WAV began extremely loud.
  • Do not assume a file's perceived loudness matches another file.
  • Verify the desired playback path before raising the house mix.
  • The front-USB interface may require leaving and re-entering a folder to repeat a file, which can be cumbersome during an event.

Event-media preparation

For an event with many files:

  1. Convert all required files in advance.
  2. Put the approved M32-compatible files on a dedicated USB drive.
  3. Use clear filenames and a predictable order.
  4. Test every file before the event.
  5. Confirm level differences between files.
  6. Keep the original source files separately.
